ABOUT OUR COMPANY

In January 2011, Cornerstone Specialty Equipment, Inc and Piedmont Fire Pump Service of NC, Inc merged togather under Cornerstone's name. Originally, both companies operated side-by-side with one being a mobile service and repair operation and the other equipment and apparatus sales.

The decision to move all operations into one company has allowed us to grow further and enhance the services we provide as well as expand our market into the area of ambulance/rescue sales and fleet group maintenance. Our company has over 21 years in the area of emergency apparatus and heavy truck maintenance.

We offer mobile service and repair as well as maintain a 5000 sq. ft shop for in-house repairs.  Our purchase of the Draft Commander 3000(R) has enhanced the pump testing service to make it more cost effective for fire departments with their annual pump service testing or new truck acceptance test.  Our coverage area includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee.  We also provide 24 hour Out-of-Service priority repairs.

Another enhanced service due to our merger is that we are now a certified Allison Transmissions Express Lube Center.

Additionally, our expansion includes becoming the North Carolina sales representative for ambulance and rescue sales under Stevens Fire Equipment, Morganton, NC for the manufacturer, Custom Trucks and Body Works, Woodbury,GA.  We are also affiliated with Suthphen Fire Apparatus and NAFECO under Steven's Fire Equipment in the following counties: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, Person and Wake.

Cornerstone Specialty Equipment can also perform small refurbs and upgrades to your existing apparatus as well as some types of fabrications. We can build customized skid units for brush trucks.
